YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The idea behind an event on Friday in Youngstown was to give small downtown business owners the opportunity to showcase their wares and get to know each other better.
It was called “The Entrepreneur Experience” and took place at the Ohio Renaissance Center on North Avenue.
There were a dozen local minority-owned Akron businesses.
Saqoyia Harris organized the event. She said it was a way for sellers to showcase what they are selling and to get to know each other.
“At vendor events, people often don’t really come in and buy, but you can’t really network or talk to each other, so I wanted to give priority here,” said Harris.
Harris said this was the first of these events she put together but hopes there will be more of them in the future.
