YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Michael C. Connelly, 73 years old, died at Hunt Regional Hospital in Greenville, Texas on Monday March 29, 2021.
Michael was born on April 9, 1947 to John E. Connelly and Angela (Sheehan) Connelly.
He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1965. He then attended Youngstown State University, graduating in 1969 with a BA in Financial Business Administration.

He was a member of the Saint Dominic Church in Youngstown, Ohio.
Michael recently retired from Raytheon Corporation in Greenville, Texas, where he worked in the payroll and tax department.
Michael was an avid fisherman. He was also a lifelong fan of basketball after finishing high school and following college and professional basketball for most of his life.
Michael was a beloved nephew of his aunt Helen, Sister Myra Connelly, who was a member of the Sisters of Humility of Mary. She died after 76 years in the community.
Michael leaves behind a sister, Maureen (Connelly) Porter and her husband, Ralph Porter, of San Jose, California. He also leaves two nephews, the first being Daniel Poulin-Porter and his wife, Danielle, of Burlingame, California, and their two daughters Madeleine and Mirabelle. The other nephew is Christopher Porter and his wife Meagan of Liberty Lake, Washington, and their son Jaxsen.
Phone hours are 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market Street.
Mass will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 77 E Lucius Avenue Youngstown, OH 44507.
He is then interned in the Resurrection Cemetery.
