Is the Dutch means the proper means for FC Cincinnati?


Few major league football clubs draw on the football legacy of a country like FC Cincinnati with the Netherlands.

FC Cincinnati has an undeniable presence of Dutch football culture, from multiple coaches to the squad to the general manager and the Scouts based in Europe.

This fact has earned FC Cincinnati a reputation as a kind of Dutch club, or at least one that wants to play Dutch style.

Given the club’s results – two consecutive final finishes in MLS, including bottom of the league table under Nijkamp – it is worth looking into whether the club’s Dutch leanings are the right path for FC Cincinnati and whether the club is capable of doing better .
