COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A Short North-based company says it is the first to offer travel insurance to ordinary people who want to travel into space.
Space is set to grow by $ 1 trillion by 2040, says Sasha Gainullin, CEO of Battle face. Currently the space plan covers accidental death and disability.
“What we start,” explained Gainullin, “is an accidental death and disability benefit.

“I think the travel insurance industry will develop along with space tourism. And that depends on the type of trips that will take place over the next five to ten years, and at the same time the benefits will continue to grow. ”
The new product was launched last week and was signed by Lloyds of London. Although no one has signed up for it yet, Gainullin says a person from Columbus has already shown interest.
“Surprisingly, a lot of people will be from Ohio.”

Gainullin said the guidelines will also help people traveling to remote areas to catch their flights into space.
“[Space travel] is just an additional experience that many travelers will have.
“Of course, nobody knows if space travel will be more affordable in 10 or 50 years, but the way aviation and travel in general have evolved over time… yes, I see that it’s an industry that will be affordable many, ”he said.
