CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and Cincinnati’s Health Department are jointly offering free COVID-19 vaccinations and free admission on June 15, 10 am-3pm at admission
“We lifted our mask requirement for fully vaccinated people last week and are trying to make vaccination easier for more guests so they can walk around the zoo without a mask,” said Thane Maynard, director of the Cincinnati Zoo, in a news release. “We hosted a clinic for Avondale employees and residents on Memorial Day Weekend, and this time we wanted to open it up to more people.”
As an incentive, the zoo offers those who have the opportunity to vaccinate on 15.
According to the zoo, guests only need to present their vaccination registration to the porter.
Reservation is not required, which is usually required for non-members if guests wish to be vaccinated.
World of the Insect will set up the mobile vaccination station in the zoo. Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson will both be available.
A mask is required in contact areas between humans and animals.
