COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A retired Ohio State University football player performs for his city at a time of need.
Malik Harrison of the Baltimore Ravens hosted his first soccer camp on Saturday to combat some of the gun violence in Columbus.
Harrison hopes the football camp can serve to inspire the youth, ask them questions, and motivate them to do other things.

He said he wants them to know that he is available to help them in any way possible.
“I just want to tell the kids that there were a lot of kids in my high school who didn’t make it to high school, but for the kids now, I just want to give them hope,” he said.
Harrison is a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens. He was drafted in the third round in 2020.
The camp was open to everyone between the ages of 6 and 13.
