CLEVELAND, Ohio – A man was injured in a shooting during a home invasion in Euclid and a possible armed robber was killed in Cleveland, police said.
Cleveland Police and Euclid are investigating the links between the two incidents early Tuesday morning. The police did not publish the names of those involved in the incident.
Police said three men stormed into a house on Forestview Avenue near East 272nd Street in Euclid around 2 a.m.
There was a shooting and a man in the house was gunshot but survived, police said. One of the men who stormed into the house died of a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.
The trio sped off in a car, according to police, which crashed into a tree on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Superior Avenue in Cleveland at around 2:30 a.m.
Two men ran out of the car. Cleveland Police found a man in the back seat with a gunshot to the chest. An ambulance took the man to the university clinics, where police say he died.
