From Monday, visitors will enter the library at the rear of the building.

YOUNGSTOWN – Due to construction at the Main Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County’s Public Library, 305 Wick Ave., the Rayen Avenue parking lot entrance will be unavailable on Thursday.

Instead, customers enter the parking lot by taking Walnut Street and turning up Grove Street to the library parking lot. Temporary access is expected to only last a day while new HVAC units move to the roof, according to a press release.

Although there may be fences in the area, the general walk-through doors to the building will be used by the public for the remainder of this week.

From Monday, visitors will enter the library at the rear of the building. Signs indicate the location of the new entrance, which is to be used from 2021 to 2022. Visitors can use the stairs or a new elevator near the entrance to get to the first floor where services are provided.
