YOUNGSTOWN – Cindee Case has been named Minister of Social Media for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, the Most Rev. David J. Bonnar announced.
Case will develop content and suggest ways to encourage the faith community to live their baptismal call with various instruments of social communication.
Since February 11, 2002 she has been director of the Youth and Youth Ministry of the Diocese of Youngstown.
As a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans with a Masters degree in Pastoral Care with a focus on youth work / parish administration, Case sees “an opportunity to use every media source available to us and to use social media for the good of the Church. ”
In his pastoral letter “Testimony to the Light” Bonnar explains: “We cannot stop inserting our voice into the world. As a diocese and in our parishes and schools, we need to communicate clearly and courageously. “
