Denise Wolf named Jewish Neighborhood Middle of Youngstown Govt Director | Information, Sports activities, Jobs

YOUNGSTOWN – Denise Wolf joined the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation as Executive Director of the Jewish Community Center on January 28th.

Previously, she was chief operating officer for the J in Tuscon, Arizona. As COO, Wolf oversaw early childhood. Children, youth and camping services; Health; Special needs services; Art and culture; and the day-to-day business of the big agency.

Wolf looks forward to meeting new people and developing programs for the community based on needs and interests.

Melissa Bateman, Chair of the JCC Advisory Board, said: “Denise is a great addition to our JCC and I look forward to working with her.”

Prior to Tucson, Wolf lived in north central Florida and was Executive Director of the B’nai Israel Congregation and Executive Director of the Bridge Center in MA, a leisure and equestrian center for people with special needs. She began her career at the North Shore JCC as Assistant Aquatic Director and Youth and Camping Services Director before moving to Brandeis for her Masters. Wolf graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and adapted physical education.

Wolf has two sons, Jake, 20, who is studying at Northern Arizona University, and Cody, 18, who is finishing his senior year of high school.
