CLEVELAND (WJW) – Once again, Cleveland hospitals are named the best in the country on a new list.
Cleveland Clinic ranked # 2 in the world by Newsweek
Just like last year that Cleveland Clinic ranked # 2 on the US News & World Report’s Best Hospitals 2021-2022 ranking.
For the 27th time in a row, the clinic was also named the top spot in the country for cardiology and cardiac surgery.
“Even in the most difficult times during the COVID-19 Pandemic, our nurses are up to the opportunity to provide the best possible care to patients, ”said CEO and President Tom Mihaljevic in a statement. “Rankings like this one from US News confirm the continued commitment of our nurses to provide the best care to patients everywhere – regardless of the challenges.”
The hospital also garnered several posts in statewide and specialty medical categories, and its main campus was named the best in Ohio.
The University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center has now been named the state’s third best hospital and has been ranked in the top 50 nationwide in five specialties.
This year’s ranking reportedly included more than 4,750 medical centers across the country.
