Should Garrett win the award, he will be the first and only Cleveland Browns player to win the award since its inception in 1971.

If Clowney manages to stay on the field and play every game, he may have a chance to win the prize himself, but it will certainly also give Garrett more opportunities to put pressure on the opposing quarterbacks.

Since the Browns’ line of defense is greatly enhanced, it enhances the defensive unit as a whole. If Garrett can play Defensive Player of the Year all season, then not only does he have a great chance of winning the award, but the Browns have a great chance of making and winning the Super Bowl.

Joe Woods has without a doubt the most improved defensive of the offseason and should be a very lucky man when the season is over and he sees them take the field.
