Youngstown State product Collin Floyd shuts down Black Bears as Scrappers high West Virginia


NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown State product and current Mahoning Valley scrapper Collin Floyd hit four scoreless innings to help the Scrappers 4-0 at West Virginia on Friday night.

Floyd only allowed three hits and dropped three in the four frames.

The game remained goalless until the sixth inning when the Mahoning Valley offense exploded for four inning runs.

The big hit in the inning came from Branden Comia, who extended the lead to 4-0 with a two-RBI triple.

Mahoning Valley and West Virginia will meet again on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at Eastwood Field
