Youngstown State University has signed a five-year contract with BSN Sports to equip all YSU teams with Nike apparel for match days.
All of YSU’s 19 intercollegiate teams were with Nike, with the exception of football, which also had a contract with Under Armor through BSN Sports. The updated partnership begins July 1st. YSU has been working with BSN Sports in the field of non-football sports since January 2018.
BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select will work with key vendors in the company to provide apparel and equipment to colleges and universities across the country.
YSU Executive Intercollegiate Athletic Director Ron Strollo stated: “We are very excited to partner with Nike while continuing our relationship with BSN Sports. The collaboration with the Leona Marketing Group during this process was excellent. We believe this agreement will benefit all parties while enhancing the YSU brand through Nike and BSN. “
It is the first time the football program has been associated with Nike, while the men’s and women’s basketball programs have long been associated with Nike.
