YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown Mayor Tito Brown says the money coming to Youngstown from the American bailout plan could transform the area for years to come.
The city will receive over $ 88 million under the nearly $ 2 trillion spending package.
“We’re not going to stand idly by,” Senator Brown defends the $ 1.9 trillion bailout plan
The mayor wants to develop a financing strategy for the next 10 to 20 years.
“I want to make sure that we put those dollars where we can use them with private investments and public dollars. So I want to make this a legacy piece for us. I want that to expand, but I think we need to have a strategic, comprehensive plan, ”he said.
Brown says drawing up this plan will include soliciting input from city council members and the community.
