YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The May Day Festival was held in Youngstown on Saturday.
May 1st is an international festival of labor.
Bicycles burn, bands play all day in memory of Rowan Sweeney
The festival ran from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and there were musicians, various community groups and vendors.
“We have a number of tables with people dealing with environmental justice, climate justice, voter registration, and various community groups. We’re also giving away free seeds, ”said co-organizer Daphne Carr.
She says they are also introducing a free store for the event that will be open daily at the Calvin Center.
People can drop things they don’t need and take things they need.
