Michigan State soccer vs. Youngstown State: Odds, unfold and prediction

the Michigan State Football Team celebrates an impressive season opener road win against Northwestern, a rival Big Ten conference opponent.

It is clear that Spartans head coach Mel Tucker had his program prepped for the task at hand when Michigan State Football traveled into hostile territory, but got away with a formidable win as he ran his workhorse back Kenneth Walker III over the wildcats.

If you didn’t know Walker III until last week, you should be now. The Wake Forest transfer announced that it is ready to do the heavy lifting for the Spartan offensive in 2021. Walker III ran for a stellar 264 yards on 23 carries, good for 11.5 yards per carry. The junior class player also scored four dazzling touchdowns on his Michigan state debut.

Walker’s excellent first week performance earned him the Maxwell Player of the Week Award.

This is a significant achievement for Michigan State Football; Understanding the program has not seen a single 200 yard rusher game since Le’Veon Bell did it in 2012.

Michigan State Football will face Youngstown State in the Spartans home opener in 2021.

A great rushing attack really helps take the pressure off Payton Thorne sophomore. Thorne is a game manager who can be very efficient and successful in short and intermediate pass attacks.

Tucker’s Spartans will do their best in 2021 when Walker hits the rock and Thorne is asked to convert in third and manageable situations. Walker’s success should open the play-action pass that will help the young quarterback get football into the hands of his talented pass-catchers.

Jayden Reed caught five of his goals and reached a total of 64 yards at the start of the season. Tre Mosley added 59 yards on four receptions against Northwestern.

The Youngstown State Penguins have won a 44-41 win over the Incarnate Word Cardinals.

The last time these two programs met was in 2013. Michigan State blew the Penguins 55-17.

Michigan State Football Odds:

The Spartans enter the competition as 20-point favorites with the moneyline set to -120. In this contest, I want the Spartans to cover the massive spread and easily defeat Youngstown State. The kick-off is scheduled for noon and can be viewed on the BIG-Ten network.
