Former Youngstown boxing champ turned film star in Boardman for up to date movie present

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown’s former boxing champ Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini is involved in another film that opened in Boardman Friday night.

Mancini and his son Leonardo, both in the film, were out on Friday night to sign posters and greet people in the lobby of Cinema South before their film, entitled “6:45”, was shown for the first time became.

Boom Boom helped with the production and was supported by fellow Youngstowner Paul Cene.

Masks and vaccination cards are required to get into the local theater

It opens at 50 Regal Cinemas across the county this weekend.

“It’s a very exciting thriller. It’s not a family movie. It’s not a family movie. Don’t bring the kids. It’s more of an R-rated movie, but more of a psychological thriller, a suspense thriller, ”said Mancini.

Mancini says the pandemic has helped independent films as cinemas need movies and big studios aren’t producing enough yet.

“6:45” will run at Cinema South in Boardman for at least a week.
