Three pastors were given appointments.

YOUNGSTOWN – Bishop David Bonnar of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown recently made the following clerical appointments:

  • Father Zachary Coulter has been appointed Administrator of St. Joseph’s Randolph, effective June 1, as Father Thomas Acker’s mission was completed there. Coulter remains administrator of St. Peter of the Fields in Rootstown.
  • Father Daniel Finnerty has been named temporary administrator of St. Mary at Orwell and Sacred Heart at Rock Creek effective July 1, as Father John Madden has retired. It is expected that a new pastor or administrator will be called to these parishes by October 1st. Finnerty remains pastor of the Assumption in Geneva.
  • James Korda has been given a special assignment as administrator of the Christ the Good Shepherd Ward, Campbell, with the responsibility of conducting a viability assessment of the ward, with effect from June 1, in a year or less to complete his position as president by CTNY. Bonnar has directed Korda to implement the regional pastoral plan announced in 2019 by the late Bishop George V. Murry, SJ. The plan provides for a place of worship in the town of Campbell.
