CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Chain Reaction Project, a small business pitch competition, has announced 24 companies as semi-finalists who will participate in a six-week business bootcamp.
Companies will use the bootcamp to prepare for presentations at the Business Pitch Showcase, scheduled for September 29-30 at the Greater Cleveland Partnership offices on Huron Road. According to a press release, the competition includes companies from a wide variety of sectors, including food and hardware manufacturing, and technology and healthcare. The companies were selected for their growth potential and their impact on jobs and investments in the city.
Cleveland Chain Reaction says it strives to create jobs, wealth, and investment in neighborhoods, and educating business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs about how they can benefit the community.
Project partners – the Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Council of Smaller Enterprises, JumpStart, Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, and Cleveland Development Advisors – will select six winners. The first place winner will receive $ 40,000; the two runners-up will each win $ 20,000; the three third-place finishers will each receive $ 10,000.

Cleveland Chain Reaction announced in May that it was accepting applications for its fourth season, and nearly 80 companies have submitted applications, according to the press release.
