A woman was injured on Friday when a fire broke out in a residential building on the west side of Cincinnati. According to Cincinnati Fire & EMS, crews responded to a fire on the first floor of a 40-unit apartment building on the 2,700 block of East Tower Drive on Friday night. Firefighters found flames around a kitchen on the first floor. Many people who lived in the building were told by the crews to stay in their homes because of the heavy smoke in the hallways. After the smoke was cleared, a person was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
