YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Mr. Richard Louis Pruden, Sr., 64 of Youngstown, moved to his eternal home at his daughter’s home surrounded by family on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
Richard, affectionately known as “Teenee”, was born on July 5, 1957 in Youngstown to William E. and Ethel Mae Gindratt Pruden.
He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1975.

He was a chef for various restaurants in the area and was a member of the Union Baptist Church.
He played football in high school and was an avid Oakland Raiders football fan. He also enjoyed cooking and being with his loving family.
He was a US Army veteran and served as a cook.
Leaving to keep his memory and celebrate his life and legacy, five children, Tamika Venneri of Youngstown, Lamisha (Marcus) Epes from Washington, DC, Javon Lewis from Virginia, Richard L. Pruden, Jr., and Chaquoa Pruden, both from Washington, Pennsylvania; Siblings, Brenda John from New York, Anthony Pruden from Youngstown, and Shirlene (Sidney) Hill from Howland, Ohio; five grandchildren and a lot of family and friends.
His parents preceded him in death; a sister, Rebecca Martin, and grandparents, Joseph and Willa May Gindratt.
A tour will take place on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. LE Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home. The funeral service for the family follows at 10:00 a.m.
Due to the pandemic, all guests are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. Guests are asked not to stay at the funeral home after their visit.
